NYC, L.A. & Lake Tahoe
A look back at my year of travels: from New York to Los Angeles and Lake Tahoe—three places that keep feeding my love for the U.S. in their own unique way.
NYC in April, L.A. and Lake Tahoe in October–my fascination with the U.S. and its landscapes truly has no end.
New York is my unconditional love. Every time I’m there, I get that familiar feeling–it just feels right, almost like home. Maybe it’s the little Amsterdam vibe I find in Greenwich Village. And as always, we stayed at The Standard Hotel, our second home by now.

Then came L.A.
Fascinating, sun-drenched, the real-life backdrop of the TV shows we all grew up with. The surf energy, the endless-summer atmosphere… For this business trip, we stayed at the beautiful Proper Hotel in Santa Monica, an incredible place where every detail by Kelly Wearstler feels like a masterclass in style.
And finally, Lake Tahoe.
An endless-fall feeling, a landscape straight out of a novel: a restless lake, towering pine trees, the mix of autumn colors and stormy skies… Fresh air, stillness, and breathtaking views. Truly unforgettable.

New York reste mon amour absolu. À chaque visite, j’ai la sensation d’être chez moi. Peut-être parce que la ville a parfois un petit air d’Amsterdam, surtout du côté de Greenwich Village. Et comme toujours, nous avons séjourné au Standard Hotel, devenu au fil du temps notre deuxième maison.

Puis, direction L.A. Fascinante, solaire, un décor de série télé dans lequel nous avons tous grandi. L’ambiance surfeurs, la lumière, cette impression d’été sans fin… Pour ce business trip, nous avons séjourné au sublime Proper Hotel de Santa Monica, un lieu absolument incroyable signé Kelly Wearstler, où chaque détail est une leçon de style.
Enfin, cap vers Lake Tahoe.
Un automne sans fin, un paysage de roman : le lac agité, les sapins immenses, les couleurs d’automne mêlées à un ciel parfois stormy… Un bol d’air frais, puissant et apaisant à la fois, c’était incroyable !
